FROM PAST TO PRESENT, HERE’S OUR STORY

On September 9, 1908, the cornerstone for this beautiful building was laid to serve as Gainesville’s Masonic Lodge No. 41 and was said to be a holiday for the whole city. On April 14, 1909, the first meeting was held in this Lodge and the Freemasons called it home from then on. During World War II, the Lodge was the only known lodge to open its doors to house servicemen.

About 30 years ago, Perry Roofing donated roof repair work to the Masonic Lodge and owner, Keith Perry, dreamed of what it might be like to own this building one day. Fast forward to February 2020 and that dream became a reality. The restoration project of this local gem began right away with brick repair, a new roof and windows, updated plumbing and electrical, and a total update of the interior. It was no question this building would best serve as an event venue to host countless memories and milestones from members of the Gainesville community and beyond.

Next up was thinking of the perfect name. Between the year it was built and the absolute grandeur of the building, 1908 Grand was born, and it is certainly grand. The venue offers the perfect mix of historical character and charm combined with elegance and luxury. From the breathtaking chandeliers in every room of the building to the backlit onyx bar in our upstairs ballroom and every spectacular detail in between, you won’t want to miss the opportunity to host your next event here. Our team looks forward to sharing this special building with you and being a part of the next important event in your life!
